Please join us for an afternoon of lawn bowling, followed by a BBQ light supper.

Lawn bowling is low impact exercise, with walking, bending and stretching. No prior experience is needed! We will be given a 15-20 minute lesson in the basics of the game, and then be divided into teams to play.

The only specific dress requirement is soft soled shoes, with no open heels or toes (in case you drop a ball!), but a wide brimmed hat and sunscreen are highly recommended, as there is no shelter from the sun on the lawn.

The optional BBQ following the bowling will consist of a hamburger, salad, and soft drink/water.

Our PROBUS Club has arranged another private visit to The Sheffield Park Black History and Cultural Museum.

Don't miss out on this trip back in time, to learn about the history of the black pioneers and settlers in Simcoe and Grey County!

Cost: $5.45 per person (paid online during registration)

We will break into small groups to walk through the main exhibit and the rest of the grounds. If you prefer not go inside, there is plenty to see as you walk around the property. Many of the collections in the various outbuildings can be seen from the outside.

The two main buildings are wheelchair and walker accessible. The grounds are not paved, but they are grassed and graded. Let us know, if you require any assistance.
