Our Probus Club has arranged a private visit to The Sheffield Park Black History and Cultural Museum. The morning session filled up in less than 2 hours, but we are now able to offer a second session in the afternoon at 1:00 PM.
This session is for those Waitlisted for the morning session. Please register as soon as possible if you wish to attend this 1:00 PM session, as we will open it up to the rest of the club again for any remaining spots.
Don't miss out on this trip back in time, to learn about the history of the black pioneers and settlers in Simcoe and Grey County!
You will need to sign in at the entrance to the main building, and pay the $5.00 admission fee (cash please). We will break into smaller groups to walk through the main exhibit and the rest of the grounds. If you prefer not go inside, there is plenty to see as we walk around the property. Many of the collections in the various outbuildings can be seen from the outside.
Members must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate in any Activity Group outings, meetings or events. Participation is limited in number, and restricted to only those who have pre-registered. Non-member guests are not permitted at this time. Attendance will be taken, in the event that it is requested by the health unit for COVID-19 contact tracing.
Members must bring their own hand sanitizer and mask in order to participate and are required to maintain 2 meter physical distancing at all times. Members are also requested to bring their Emergency Contact card with them; it has important contact and health card information.
