This is easy cycling along local trails and country roads of Thornbury, Meaford, Collingwood, Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach—we try to avoid steep hills. Hybrid bikes with various speeds are preferred as they have wider tires than a road bike.

We usually begin in the month of May and have a meeting to review bicycle safety. Our rides take place on Monday mornings beginning at 9:30 AM (depending on the weather we may start at 10:00 AM). We cycle for an hour and a half then have a coffee at a local restaurant or a member's home. Since we begin our rides at various locations it is important that you have transportation to get your bike to the starting point.

We sometimes venture further afield just to add some interest to our rides. For example, in the past, we have driven to Midland, Anten Mills and Owen Sound.

Information about the individual rides will be sent weekly by email to all members of the group and includes a link to register. Please make sure you always bring your PROBUS emergency contact card with you!

We will meet in Collingwood at 9:30.  The address will be sent in the next emails to those registered.

Bike Leaders: Mary Ann and Don

Details:   We will cycle from our home to Sunset Beach, the Terminals, the Harbour, and a new section out to the Hen and Chickens peninsula. It is flat and often a paved trail with wonderful views of the Harbour and woodland trails around our home. The Hen and Chickens is a new scenic trail since the bridge has been reconstructed. We will return back the same route and not complete the loop due to construction on the section across Hwy. 26 (total distance 21 km). We invite everyone to our home for a swim, drinks, and treats after our ride. Remember to bring your bathing suit and towel!

Please bring your PROBUS ID card.  It contains important emergency contact information.

    Best regards,

    Mary Ann and Ilene
