Important Safety Tips for Cycling:

  • Remember to bring your Probus Membership card on the rides.
  • Always wear a helmet.
  • Make sure your bicycle is road worthy – tuned up.
  • Make sure tires are filled with air before the ride.
  • A bicycle bell is required.
  • A rear red light is a must.
  • Ride in single file unless we are on trails and quiet roads.
  • Follow the group leader. There will be a sweeper at the back.
  • Cross intersections with caution! You may walk bike across highways.
  • Please arrive promptly for the ride.  We allow 5 minutes before we leave.
  • Let the leader know if you are leaving the ride before it ends.

Notes:

  • Rides begin at 10 a.m. until the warmer weather when we will meet at 9:30.
  • An Reminder will be sent a few days before the ride.
  • Cancellation will be sent out by 8:30 a.m. if weather is not good for cycling.
