We will visit sites within 30-45 minutes’ drive from Thornbury, visiting recent bird sighting locations.
Our plan is to go out birding on Sunday mornings, however, the day could change if the weather is not conducive to birding on the scheduled birding day.
During the migration (April-May) and the regular season (June-July), we will be going out every two weeks (Sunday mornings).
As the season progress, we will evaluate the level of interest in going out birding to find early fall migrants (August-September-October). Frequency: Once per month on a Sunday morning.
Invitations to register will be sent via e-mail to members of the group in advance of each outing.
Locations will be announced a few days before each outing.
Our observations will be logged on e-bird at every outing. The observation list can be shared with you if you provide the Coordinator with your email address.
Please bring your PROBUS ID card with you as it contains important emergency contact information.
