2025 Update: Book Club Chapter One is starting anew! If you’re interested in joining, please sign up here. The day, time, and format of the meetings can be decided by the participants. The club will also need someone to coordinate it—if you are interested to know more about leading an activity group, please contact Ilene RC. There is plenty of support available.
Chapter One previously met at members’ homes on the second Thursday of each month. Each year, books were nominated and selected by the members in November and December, with an emphasis on deeply thoughtful, challenging, informative, historic, humorous, or absorbing reading. The discussion leader facilitated the meeting, usually starting with a biography of the author and then using the publisher’s reader guides, online resources, or recent newspaper articles to guide the discussion.
