Dining Around Town

 Meet Day:  Wednesdays, but varies monthly
 Location:  Various area restaurants
 Time:  12:00 Lunch or 5:00 PM Dinner
 Status:  New participants welcome

Members interested in dining out at various restaurants in the area meet monthly (except July, August and December). Most months it will be held on the 3rd Wednesday but the day/date may vary depending on restaurant availability. Menus are set with a choice of soup/salad and 3-5 main entrees while others may be buffet. We normally have cocktails around 5:00 pm. followed by dinner and are planning some mid-morning Brunches and noon hour Luncheons in 2023.

Members are notified by email of the date, restaurant, menu choices and prices and are asked to confirm their participation. Both "Singles" and "Couples" are welcome—we do have a fair number of "singles" join on a regular basis.

    Our Dining Around Town session in November is a luncheon, scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2024 @ 12:00 Noon and will be held at: 

    Katherine's Chateau
    243 Saint Marie St 

    Collingwood

    Cost: $29.00 plus HST and Gratuity. 2-course meal with free coffee/tea included. 
    Registration / Cancellation deadline is Friday, November 15.
    No-show or late cancellation fee of $29.00 applies. 

    There is a large, beautiful and well stocked boutique lined with stylish home decor pieces on site so you may want to arrive early to browse!

    Menu Choices: 
    Appetizer Choice:

    • A) Soup of the Day
    • B) Mixed Green Salad with apples, pickled onions and roasted beets 
    • C) Caesar Salad with focaccia croutons and bacon bits topped with freshly grated 

    Main Entree: 

    • 1) Seared Salmon served on chickpeas with cucumber and cherry tomatoes 
    • 2) Chicken Suprême sous vide with garlic mashed potatoes and haricot beans served with chicken gravy 
    • 3) Truffled Mushroom Gnocchi freshly made in house gnocchi with a truffled béchamel sauce topped with candied walnuts
