On May 1 the Nottawasaga Model Railway Club welcomed the BVPC in to view their extensive layout. Located at the Bygone Days Heritage Village just west of Collingwood, the Railway Club members have restored an old portion of the on-site barn (it was actually the pig barn) and have made great progress in building their re-creation.
It emulates CN's Meaford sub-division in the 1950s which ran from Allandale in Barrie to Meaford, with their main emphasis on Collingwood's shipyard and grain terminals. Thornbury’s bridges and surrounding area have also been meticulously displayed. Although the layout is still being built, the upper level is almost complete.
