Avro Arrow Museum Tour No. 2
Due the tremendous response to our first tour date in May, we have now secured a second tour date on June 16. Priority registration went to those who were waitlisted for the first tour, but the remaining spots are now open to the rest of the Club.
Please join us for a one-hour, guided tour of the Avro Arrow museum. We will be reliving some Canadian History, as we learn about the Avro Arrow, its history and the role Canada played in the mid to late 1950's in the world’s aerospace industry. This was followed by the shocking cancellation of the project in its late stages, by the government of the day.
The museum is indoors, in a large hanger, and has a full scale replica of the Arrow, and many related artifacts. Picnic tables are available outside and you are welcome to bring your own lunch for after the tour.
Additional Tour:
In addition to the Avro Arrow Tour, we are also able to offer an opportunity to view two other vintage planes owned by the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation. Since these displays are located in a smaller, separate hanger at the Aerodrome, we need to divide the group into two sessions: one immediately before the Arrow Tour at 10:10 AM and one immediately following our tour at Noon.
There is no additional cost to join this tour, but as a volunteer organization they depend on donations—so please consider donating. There is a donation box at the hanger.
Space is limited to 40 members, so please register early to avoid disappointment!
