Join us for an evening under the stars!

Last August, you were in the group who came for the Observatory evening, but it clouded over, so the observing could not take place. We tried again in June, and the weather scuttled us again

Our hosts at the E.C. Carr have kindly offered another makeup session, to which you are invited.

The visit will start with a short presentation given by an on-site supervisor. After dark we will be able to look through the main telescope for views of planets, double-stars and more. If the night is clear, there may be members the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada present with their telescopes as well, and we may able to look at several other objects of interest!

Members Only: Due to limited space, this event is for now only for those who were registered for the August 2023 or the June 2024 events. If you are unable to attend, we will offer your spot to those on the wait list, who will then be asked to purchase your $14 ticket. However, there is no guarantee that there will be enough  members to purchase all unused spots.

Please register by August 28, after which the invitation will go out to all of our members.  If you are unable to attend, please email me, and I will see if someone on the waitlist can purchase your spot. (I will offer your unused tickets to the waitlist, in the order that I receive your email advising that you cannot attend, so the sooner I hear back, the greater the chance your spot can be purchased!)

If the weather is unsuitable on the 9th, they have set aside the 11th, to hold the event.

Refund Policy: As with past events, refunds will not be given after payment has been made. We hope for clear skies near the first quarter moon, but there are no guarantees.
