The Spring migration doesn’t last very long but it gives us an incredible opportunity to see a variety of birds that are not necessarily staying around here or that will become very difficult to see as soon as the leaves open up. At the Arboretum we should see waterfowl, some shorebirds as well as warblers and other song birds.

We hope you can join us for this outing on Sunday, May 11.  We will walk the boardwalk out to the Observation Deck, then back along the shore before  following some paths through the woods where we saw many spring birds last year.  Lucie and Kirby will be away, but I shall do my best to spot and id birds along the way. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early as birding will start at 8:30 AM sharp. Also note that there is no bathroom facility at this location.
