Our original plan was to go birding every other week throughout spring and early summer. However, with some travel days planned in May for Brian and us, we’ll adjust the schedule and aim to still go as often as possible to take advantage of the increasing migration activity. The migration doesn’t last very long and gives us an incredible opportunity to see a variety of birds that are not necessarily staying around here or that will become very difficult to see at a later date.
With that in mind, we hope you can join us for an extra outing this Sunday, May 4. We will walk the Georgian Trail from Christie Beach Road toward Meaford for approx. 1 Km and retrace our steps. This is an easy walk at a leisurely pace. Brian will lead our next scheduled outing on May 11. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early as birding will start at 8:30 AM sharp. Also note that there is no facility at this location.
