Fox Ridge Road Valley. Bruce Trail Map 26, Edition 29
Hike Details: This is a lush valley featuring a stream and old growth sugar maples and large ironwood trees. There are some views of Georgian Bay with open meadows and apple trees.
Difficulty: This is a moderate hike with some hills that are not onerous. We May retrace our steps which avoids walking on the road and affords different vistas or decide to loop back on the road.
This hike will take approx 2 hours.
DIRECTIONS: From Thornbury travel south on County Road 13, Beaver Valley Road, to south of Heathcote. Turn left at the sign for Duncan on the Townline for Blue Mountains/Grey Highlands (Euphrasia). Travel to the 3rd intersection and turn right onto Fox Ridge Road, at the top of the hill. The road only goes right (west). After approx 1 km we will be waiting . Parking at side of the road.
Walking poles, hiking boots, water and bug spray recommended.
