Our first Spring outing went well this morning.  Unfortunately, a number of members were unable to make it and we could not fill empty spots with people on the Wait List.  If you are one of the members who missed this morning, or whose name was on the Waitlist, or just wish to go out this week, we will again register up to 12 members for Wednesday, April 24.  We will not use the Wait List since our next outing will likely be on May 1 .

We will meet at the Clendenan Dam parking lot at 8:30AM.  Spring migrants are slowly arriving, but we are hopeful to spot some of the smaller songbirds as well as waterfowl that enjoy the little lake above the dam.  If time allows, we may also visit a second spot in the Thornbury area.

Remember to bring binoculars, birding guide and your smart phone; we will spend a few minutes helping members to adjust their binoculars for optimal viewing, and introduce the Merlin and eBird applications for bird id. 

The current forecast is for cold temperatures on Wednesday. In the case of bad weather please check your e-mail by 7:30 am on the day of the outing for cancellation or postponement.
