Our first Spring outing will be on Sunday, April 21. Registration is limited to 12 members, plus leaders. If registration is full, and if you can make it, put your name on the Waiting List for the following Wednesday morning, April 24, when we go to the same locations.
We will meet at the Clendenan Dam parking lot at 8:30AM. Spring migrants have been slow to arrive, but we are hopeful to spot some, as well as waterfowl that have not yet moved away from their winter territory. If time allows, we will also visit the Thornbury sewage lagoons, always a good spot for birding and with construction there, the only quiet time of the week.
Remember to bring binoculars, birding guides and your smart phone; we will spend a few minutes helping members to adjust their binoculars for optimal viewing, and introduce the Merlin and eBird applications for bird id.
With lots of rain this week, please consider good wet weather footwear. In the case of bad weather please check your e-mail by 7:30 am on the day of the outing for cancellation or postponement.
