Welcome to our first snowshoe event of 2024. 

With the recent snowfalls, we are finally able to get the snowshoe activity group started. Our first outing will be fairly  easy, and should take about 1 hour.  We will meet in Clarksburg, at the parking lot for Lions Park. We then follow the Beaver river trail going north towards Thornbury.  It is a very pretty trail along the river.  When we reach the dead end, we will return on the same trail.   The trail is fairly easy, with 2 uphill sections.  The surface of the trail varies, some hard packed, some deeper snow and a section plowed.

Hiking poles are recommended.  You also may wish to bring a water bottle.
