This hike is on a Friday at 9:30

This hike encompasses the 3 new bridges and many boardwalks completed this year by the volunteers of the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail group.

Many Thanks for their hard work starting in 2018.

The forested trail will follow the Boyne River north of the parking lot, cross the river then head south, up and down along the escarpment. And there are Lots of ups and downs!! There are also many fern and flora species including the rare maidenhair and hart's tongue ferns.

The length is only 3 kms however feels like 5 and will take approx 1.5-2 hours.

The difficulty is rated easy to moderate  with many small to medium hills. Primarily packed trail with roots (of course).

After the hike you may wish to proceed to the bottom of the falls for a great view, and possibly some wading.

From Thornbury: Drive south on Grey Rd 13 past Kimberley then make a right onto Rd 30. Follow it past the Beaver Valley Ski Club. Do Not take the right turn but continue straight onto Lower Valley Rd. The parking lot on the right  is approx 5 Miles past that intersection and difficult to spot. If the lot is full you can park along only one side of the road.

From Collingwood: Head west on Mountain Rd and follow up Scenic Caves Road (119) through Banks & Ravenna to the T intersection at Rd 13. Turn left and follow as above.

Bringing water, bug spray and hiking poles recommended.
