Topic: Plastics in the Environment
This presentation will highlight the extent of plastic pollution in our local waterways, hear what Georgian Bay Forever is doing to combat these issues, but most importantly share ways that we can all reduce the amount of single-use plastics in our our everyday lives.
Brooke Harrison is the Project Coordinator for GBF's Divert & Capture: The fight to keep microplastics out of our water. Brooke lives, works, and plays around Georgian Bay. Calling Tobermory home, she enjoys boating, hiking, swimming, and protecting Georgian Bay. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Trent University in Environmental and Earth Sciences.
