Our October speaker features Norine Baron who will share  her experiences with the The Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign -  a dynamic movement of thousands of grandmothers and grandothers, belonging to grandmothers groups across Canada… and beyond!

Norine has  dedicated herself to the community commencing with managing the Kimbercote Farm – a retreat and conference centre, becoming a founding member of the Beaver Valley Outreach (1983), a founding member of Amnesty International Group 82 in Thornbury, and, as well as being a member of the Grace United Church, the Goldenaires choir and TBM Climate Action Now Network.  Norine has travelled extensively on her own while doing volunteer work.

Norine became involved with The Stephen Lewis Foundation – Grandmothers to Grandmothers in 2006 and formed the local chapter with two other ladies in 2007, travelling to South Africa with Foundation in 2008. Groups have now formed in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.  Norine’s talk should prove to be very interesting, so please join us on October 27^th.
