  • Registration opens a few days before the Event. Members of the Activity Group will receive an email invitation at that time.

    PLEASE NOTE: Members should register individually from the email invitation addressed specifically to them by name.

This hike is on a Friday at 9:30am

We have been offered a special opportunity of a guided hike in the Kimberley Forest.

Hike Leader: Brian, volunteer from the Friends of the Kimberley Forest

This hike starts at the new parking lot on the west side of Beaver Valley, Line 7 at 4A.
Brian will lead us on a loop with lots of ups and downs along the escarpment with some level walks between. We will see the Wodehouse Karst, the Larch Forest and some examples of erosion management. The Volunteers have installed 4 new boardwalks this year. We won’t do all the trails but will also have great exposure to the cross country and snowshoeing trails.

 Moderate level of difficulty. Pace: medium. 

Length: 6 kms,  Approx 2.5 hrs


In consideration of other hikers please Do Not participate if you are unable to maintain the hike pace or complete the distance.
