  The Blue Mountain Film Festival is back, and we are getting tickets for our Club!  We will see 2 film screenings—one in the morning, and a second in the afternoon. There will be ample time for you to have lunch at one of the many excellent restaurants in the village, or to go home for lunch and come back for the afternoon film.

  We will find out closer to the date, exactly which films we will be seeing.
  Doors open 45 minutes prior to each screening

• Travel: Circumnavigation of Newfoundland

  Join your fellow PROBUS members from the Georgian Bay Region for a Circumnavigation of Newfoundland. This is an incredible 12 day adventure out of St. John's where you can watch for whales, puffins and hopefully icebergs. Learn about Viking archeology and Basque whaling history. Experience picturesque villages, incredible geology, scenic coastlines and remote outposts. Optional kayaking and biking is available.

  John Sheard's Homeward Bound, The Music of Simon and Garfunkel

  John Sheard brings together an all-star line-up to perform the iconic music of one of the most successful groups of the 1960s. Simon and Garfunkel are among the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 100 million records.  

  Probably known best as music director for Stuart Mclean's Vinyl Cafe from 1997-2016, Toronto's John Sheard has released 8 solo piano recordings and continues to work with artists of all styles and mentor many young musicians. Since 1975 he has appeared on hundreds of recordings.

  We have secured 50 tickets, and hope that you will be able to join us!

  If the event is full when you go to register, please proceed to Join Waitlist. We may be able to get more tickets.

• Travel: Norway Coastal Voyage

  Join your fellow PROBUS members from the Georgian Bay Region for an incredible tour of Norway. The Hurtigruten ship leaves Bergen and sails north of the Arctic circle to Kirkenes and returns to Trondheim. The voyage dates are September 17 - 27, 2024, but most of our members booked on this trip are going early to experience the fabulous train program prior to the voyage from Oslo to Bergen, and the train journey following the cruise, from Trondheim to Oslo.

  Members who chose to enjoy this trip have several options.
  
  Mambers can fly in and out of Bergen, but it is recommended to fly in and out of Oslo.

  Members can also purchase a rail/hotel program for 2 nights or 3 nights. Day 2 is by ferry, bus and rail.
  

  • The 3-night program includes a prepaid hotel in Oslo, and at the famous Flam railway, and in Bergen. 3 Breakfasts and 1 dinner. Hotels are all beside the rail stations. Prior to the cruise Twin rate is appr CAD 1560.00.
  • The 2-night program includes a hotel in Oslo, a hotel in Bergen and 1 day rail. Hotel is close to the stations and breakfast is included. Rate is CAD 899.00 pp twin.
  • The last day is a train journety from Trondheim to Oslo. 11:30 to 7:30pm. Train and Oslo hotel CAD 399.00. twin. The ship arrives quite early in Trondheim.
