Events & Activities :: Club Activities :: Snowshoeing
The Snowshoeing Activity Group meets weekly, from the arrival of sufficient snow, until the snow disappears in the spring. Different days are chosen each week to facilitate attendance by members who have other commitments. Details and directions of where the activity is taking place are sent out via email. Local forests and trails, as well as member’s private property, provide interesting outings. The locations chosen for the outings provide easy to moderate terrain. Before starting each hike, we break into two groups so participants can choose the level of activity they prefer. The weekly hikes last between one and a half and two hours and then, those who wish to, go to a local restaurant, or one of our member’s homes, for lunch.
This is a very social group and guests are always welcome! Our aim is to get a little exercise while having fun, enjoying the outdoors and meeting new people. Anyone who missed the Activity Fair can contact the coordinators - John Dick or Eileen and Dave Robinson - and have their name added to the email list for weekly updates during the winter months.
